Who We Are

John Wesley, Methodism’s founder, said, "Give me one hundred preachers who fear nothing but sin and desire nothing but God, and I care not a straw whether they be clergymen or laymen, such alone will shake the gates of hell and set up the kingdom of God upon earth."

Could you be one of the hundred for today?

We're looking for passionate Jesus-followers. We're looking for people who are willing to move a city with us; some to live with us in intentional community, some simply to help plant a church. We're looking for brave people, willing to risk financial and social security for a God-sized vision. We're looking for people who are willing to be part of a crazy dream: to be church in an entirely new (and yet very old) way, to transform a city, and to start a movement.

If this calls out to you (whether you be laity, clergy, or somewhere in between), send us an e-mail so we can talk.

Why wait? Our time is now!

Farrah Willis

Hi! My name is Farrah Willis (new last name in May of 2008!).  I am currently a third year Master of Divinity student at Drew Theological School in Madison, NJ.  I was born into an Air Force family, so I am a military brat.  I moved around quite a bit growing up and attended base chapels, United Methodist churches (where I was confirmed), Catholic churches, Baptist churches, etc.  I called myself simply a “Christian” for some time.  I eventually came to the decision that I would be a full-fledged United Methodist after college and am now on the track towards ordination in the UMC.  I'm currently the Student Assistant Pastor at The United Methodist Church in Madison in Madison, NJ.

Melissa Yosua-Davis

Hi! My name is Melissa Yosua-Davis. I am currently a third year Master of Divinity student at Drew Theological School in Madison, NJ. I'm a born and bred United Methodist with a deep love for my denomination. I'm very interested in the church in the postmodern era, particularly in a missional, relational, and incarnational church that seeks to plant the seed of the Gospel in a postmodern culture. I'm also interested in creative expressions of worship and in neo-monasticism. Right now, I'm the student assistant pastor at Westwood United Methodist Church in Westwood, NJ. Aside from my ministry interests, I also love to cook, knit, cross-stitch, read science-fiction and fantasy novels, play the flute, and blog.

Ben Yosua-Davis

Hi, I’m Ben Yosua-Davis, the other half of Melissa’s photo. I’m a third year Masters of Divinity student at Drew Theological School, a card-carrying United Methodist, and a double pastor’s kid (what my brother calls a PKsquared), with two United Methodist ministers for parents. Currently, I’m a music minister and assistant pastor (actually, they call me a “pastoral assistant so as not to annoy the bureaucrats of my denomination) at Monroe Community Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in New Jersey.
